LOGLINE: A murdered National Guardsman rises from the grave to rescue his little girl from her sex trade kidnappers--before the zombie rage coursing through his veins devours every last shred of the man he used to be.
SYNOPSIS: (RAGE - 95 pgs) They left him for dead. Because he was. -- former National Guardsman Buddy Patton rises from a hastily dug grave with no memory of who he is. Even the name that groans past his lips isn’t his own, but that of his daughter, Jenny--who was kidnapped by the same human traffickers that killed him. Fueled by his anger, Buddy follows the clues to hunt them down. Along the way, he recovers scattered memories of who he used to be--caring, loving father and husband. He also learns that he’s now become something else entirely -- an undead overlord, called a revenant, that creates an army of zombies from those who try to stand in its way. Buddy fights against the monstrous, undead rage inside him. But when he leads his zombie thralls against the porn-king who holds his daughter captive, he’s forced to succumb to the terrifying anger that wants nothing more than to slaughter everything in his path. Jenny included.

Love the logline. The synopsis loses me a bit with the "revenant." How does he discover he has this power? Why him? I'm sure your story answers these questions, but it seems a bit confusing in the synopsis. I do like how the arc humanizes him.

it wouldn't work if he killed or turned Jenny into a zombie. she must stay human and also he must let her go to live out her life without him and still get his revenge.

i wouldn't stand in buddies way to seek revenge on what happened to him. human traffickers are the scum of the earth. zombies are same bad a$$ creatures. i have seen some of the better films and they can be damned impressive. your premise is well built. the only thing i would like to see happen is a way for some kind of humanness to still exist inside him for the memory of his daughter Jenny. something has to stop him from his total destruction of his enemies who betrayed him and kidnapped Jenny. seeing her has to somehow breakthrought the zombie code barrier and stop him from harming her. otherwise there is no redemption in his justice just plain madness and destroying what he once held on the highest pedestal for him when he was still alive. who says zombies have to totally loss all humanity. look at anne rice's vampire Louis. He embraced his former self as a human while still being able to kill animals but held back when it came to humans most of the time. it wouldn't work if he kil

In his late 30s, a self-made man, a real man's man, he is an advertising exec, married to Hallie, father to seven-year-old Robbie. "Bob is the kind of guy who shoots low 80s and takes your cash on the course -- then spends it buying everybody drinks at the 19th hole." Upbeat, gregarious, happily under the thumb of his sexy but b--l-busting wife, Bob rarely lets down his guard. His go-to phrase for pretty much everything is, "Shut the f--k up.".
